About the artist
(2000, Syria, lives in Syria)
24-year-old visual artist specializing in a range of mediums, including video, installation, and primarily painting. Born on January 13, 2000 I’ve always had a passion for exploring the human unconscious and expressing my personal experiences through art. This focus on introspection drives my work, as I seek to connect with others through shared human experiences.

Artist statement
The work is part of my graduation project entitled: Same chair. Different people. The project reflects on how each person can have different experiences in the same exact situation, place and time. I chose this painting because it is a work of art that has a very special place in my heart, I don’t know why, but overall it reflects on how your country in conflict can be a burden that you carry with you wherever you go. In my project each painting shows people with a different reaction to the chair. The chair can represent many things, including our home country and our relationship with it.
